NDIS Registration Renewal

NDIS Registration Renewal

The NDIS Commission plays a crucial role in safeguarding the interests and well-being of NDIS participants. The NDIS Code of Conduct is a set of levels registered service providers must stick to ensure the ethical and responsible delivery of NDIS-funded services.

Existing registered providers can start the NDIS registration renewal process with the NDIS Commission within six months of the renewal date specified on your Certificate of Registration.

To ensure your registration status remains active, you must submit your application before the end of the date of registration listed on your Certificate of Registration.

At Health Provider Assist, we help you to manage your NDIS renewal process. And assist you with all questions regarding NDIS.

6 Steps to Renew Your NDIS Registration

Renew Your NDIS Registration

If you are a registered NDIS provider, the renewal process is a chance to showcase your continued dedication to the NDIS scheme. It’s also an opportunity for your organisation to deliver high-quality services over an extended period consistently.

To renew their registration, registered providers must apply through the NDIS Commission Portal and provide all required information. Read on to learn more about the steps in the renewal process and how Health Provider Assist can help you make this as stress-free as possible.

  1. Step 1 – Login
  2. Step 2 – Application
  3. Step 3 – Initial Scope of Audit document
  4. Step 4 – Audit
  5. Step 5 – Assessment
  6. Step 6 – Findings

Step 1 - Login

Log in to the NDIS Commission Portal

Step 2 - Application

Application

Complete your application for renewal of registration

You will require to provide the following information:

  • Your Registration ID
  • Organisation’s contact details
  • Corporate structure
  • Your current number of participants

To ensure compliance with the NDIS Practice Standards for the services and supports provided to participants, it is necessary to complete a self-assessment. Additionally, uploading any necessary documents as evidence is required.

Step 3 - Initial Scope of Audit document

After submitting your application, the NDIS Commission will send you the ‘Initial Scope of Audit’, summarising your relevant registration requirements.

To ensure compliance with the NDIS Practice Standards, the “Initial Scope of Audit” document outlines the requirements that need to be met for a “verification” or “certification” audit.

Health Provider Assist will require this document from you to provide an accurate quote for the audit.

Step 4 - Audit

The auditors will examine the audit’s scope and initiate the audit process, which varies depending on whether it’s a ‘Verification’ or ‘Certification’ audit.

Your audit team should help you to understand the findings and allow you to ask and answer questions. We will provide you with a draft Audit Report for feedback before submitting the audit’s outcome to the NDIS Commission.

Step 5 - Assessment

Assessment

After you submit your application, the NDIS Commission will carefully evaluate it and make a decision. This involves reviewing the audit findings and assessing your organisation’s and critical personnel’s suitability.

The NDIS Commission evaluates whether your organisation and key personnel are suitable to provide support and services to NDIS participants through a suitability assessment.

This will take into consideration whether your organisation or critical personnel have:

  • Previously been a registered NDIS provider
  • Had a banning order in place
  • Any past convictions
  • Been insolvent under administration

If the NDIS Commission requires additional information, they will contact you directly. They will make a decision and get you to let you know if your application has been successful and provide feedback.

Step 6 - Findings

Successful applicants will receive a Certificate of Registration outlining the services they are registered to provide, the period of registration, and any conditions they must follow to keep their registration.

If your application was unsuccessful, you can request a review by contacting the NDIS Commission within three months of the decision.

By following the instructions provided and collaborating closely with us, you can streamline the process of renewing your registration. You can get complete guidance for the registration process with Health Provider Assist. Contact us to learn more about us.
